Kouvolan Karhut is an office property that is located in Kouvola, it was renovated with modern and stylish work spaces. The aim was to create a work environment that is pleasant and with a feeling of spaciousness, and is equipped with separate calm rooms that are applicable for individual work and meeting rooms.

Brightness and work peace with HSL glass walls

The natural light was wanted to be utilized, in addition to the work spaces, in the building's long corridors and the possible transformation needs of the spaces was desired to be taken into account beforehand. The amount of light was maximized with an abundant use of glass, and the work rooms and the meetings rooms was built with system partition walls, to make sure the upcoming transformation flexibility of the spaces.

The final choice for the materials of the walls was HSL aluminum glass walls, In which depending on the space, was used bright tempered- and laminated sound insulating glasses. The sufficient amount of privacy and work peace was guaranteed with an appropriate sound management. The sound insulation in rooms rooms equipped with sound insulating sliding doors is Rw33dB and the sound insulation in rooms equipped with turning doors is Rw37dB.

The glass walls frames, doors and the door's electric switches was painted in shades desired by the client. As a final result, stylish and bright spaces were achieved with an overall compatible look.
